5 Memorable Moments Of The 2017/2018 EPL Season

There were many moments to pick from, and we have decided to bring you the 5 that caught our own eyes.

Here are our 5 memorable moments:

  • City’s 19 Game Winning Run And 100 Points Haul

Every champion has that period when they are virtually unplayable and that period ran nineteen games long for the Cityzens. A few hiccups were there as it should be but the champions to be had too much in the tank for the likes of Southampton, Bournemouth games which needed extra time wins. Eventually the run did come to halt in the New Year but it was late for those playing catch up. The game the Cityzens would probably remember for a long time was that against Southampton on the final game of the season when Gabriel Jesus scored with virtually the last kick of the game as they attained the 100 point haul.

  • Arsenal 2-2 Chelsea

A breathtaking match and one of my candidates for match of the season. A classic made for the neutrals. On a night when the score line could easily have been more before the referee’s final whistle. Countless chances and half chances went begging in this encounter between 2 fierce London rivals. It was a most forgettable 90mins of football for a certain £70million Chelsea forward who missed sitter after sitter including two of that could have been match winners.

  • Mo Salah Sets New Goal Scoring Record

The Egyptian talisman broke a long standing goal scoring record after he scored Liverpool’s first goal in the final game of the season against Brighton. Mo Salah scored 32 goals surpassing the previous 31 goals held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Luiz Suarez and Alan Shearer.

  • Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United

Another entertaining match and potential match of the season saw United pull off

a near impossible comeback at the Ethihad. Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan had

given City the two-nil lead at halftime. In the end a brilliant Paul Pogba brace in the

space of two minutes brought things level after halftime. On 69minutes Chris Smalling

grabbed the winner for Mourinho’s men to delay City’s title party for another week.

  • Wenger Resigns

The day 22 years in charge Arsene Wenger brought down the curtains on his leadership

as Arsenal boss will remain in the hearts of many albeit not so fondly for others.

3 league titles including one Invincible campaign 7 FA Cups and community shields

are some titles he won over the course of his management. Several personal awards

are also in his cabinet. A legendary and respected coach he will remain in the history

books for Arsenal F.C.
